I was the Spanish play by play radio announcer for the Seattle Mariners
from 2003 to 2006. This was Hispanic-American night at Safeco Field, Seattle. I was invited to throw out the first ceremonial
pitch of the game. It was a strike over the plate, the catcher was Joel Piñeiro, who was a starting pitcher for the
Mariners.

Favorites/Favoritos
When I am not broadcasting this is how I like to spend my "spare" time.
Listening to Frank Sinatra's music, old movies, such as The Godfather, Bridge Over The River Kwai, Moonstruck. Playing
baseball with sons Jonathan and Geoffrey, having my grandaughter Madison in the house. On special occasions like Nochebuena
(Christmas Eve), I cook the traditional Cuban meal for family and friends. And playing Dominoes with my wife Gail, I always
win.
The menu is: Cuban Lechón Asado (roasted pork) with black beans and white rice. Fried plantains, a
good Merlot wine and Cuban and Spanish dessert like Turrón (nougat). On Christmas Day, it is Cuban sandwiches.
Cuando no estoy narrando deportes, me gusta disfrutar en mis momentos de oseo: Escuchar la música de Frank
Sinatra, películas viejas, como The Godfather, Bridge Over The River Kwai, Moonstruck. Jugar béisbol con mis
hijos Jonathan y Geoffrey, tener a mi nieta Madison en casa, y ganarle a mi esposa Gail jugando Dominos. Yo siempre gano.
